Miss P's Writers

My dream school looks wonderful. It’s made out of clouds! We have ice-skating. There is a gymnastics competition! My school has interesting things like bugs and science and aquariums and butterflies too. I would like a swimming pool. The school has a fair. The fair has lollies. Nearly every day the children have breakthrough. All the children tell the truth when they hurt someone or broken something. By Brooke
My schools name is Almor Junior High. The school has no rubbish and the school is clean. You can even have dinner there. A wizard would be your teacher. You could have a cake there. I would like to learn about list words. My school would have 9 kids. The wizards name would Wizard Blot. There would be Ipads. By Oscar
My school dream I would like a pet shop and pets. My school is fun. I would like girls to have powers but not boys. Girls can do everything but not boys. I wish we can bring loom bands to school. Teachers are cool. I want to be a teacher. By Simone
My dream school is fancy. I would like girls to have powers but not boys. I want the girls to do everything and the boys can do nothing. I would prefer something cooler like this, if the teacher were bubbles! Some children would like this one, if we were vampires. Wouldn’t it be cool if everything was scary. I would like there to be bats. By Olivia

Hannah, why are you cutting up the strawberries? You are being very careful.
Cymorah, can you tell us what is in the bowl. What will you do next?

How much mixture are you putting in Emily?

What are you all doing with the mixture!!!!

Where is your cake,  what are you making?

Why are you making sure the lid is on Leon?

Josh, that smoothie is very purple, what did you put in it?

Are you ready to taste it Reilly?

What are you all rolling in your hands?

Why are you pushing them down with a fork Eugene?

Icing time! What colours and decorations are you using?

Sit back, relax and enjoy your blueberry smoothie!

Well done every one, your banana cake looks great!!

Wow you guys made a lot of vanilla biscuits! You have decorated them so well.

Those strawberry muffins look awesome! Did they taste good too?

Making Our Lunch!

Last week we spent our writing time writing invitations.  We invited our parents to come in and help us to make our own lunch.

We planned our menu and got into groups to decide on the special touches we wanted.

Yesterday was the big day when we made our delicious food!

Music and Songs Break Through groups

We had so much fun collaborating, sharing ideas and talking about what we could do for our projects.

We played with the instruments and then decided what we were going to use for our songs. Our voice is an instrument too!

We gave each other feedback so that we have next steps to improve our performances. We had a fantastic day!

Measurement with Mrs Jackson

This morning at the start of our Marvellous Maths Day we talked about our Learner Quality of being Determined.

We did some great thinking about Jack and the Beanstalk. What is taller than and shorter than.

We measured who was taller and shorter than.

Some of us are the same size too.

We measured ourselves.

We made tall beanstalks.

We had to be determined.

Children during their reading session

Aarav,  Zahra and Julia are learning to read silently as part of their reading session,  keep going!!!

Margot and Kyan are improving their ability to read silently. Awesome!!

Sachintha and Annabelle had fun blowing bubbles after reading their book!

Brooke read a story today about bubbles. They went up and up and up!!
Just like your bubbles Brooke.

Te Au Aio, awesome bubble blowing! Some of the others were trying to pop your bubbles.

Hailey was able to blow a long line of bubbles, they went up and up and up,  then down and down and down.
