Making our buddy

Today we made our buddy into real people.

We collaborated and practised first, deciding how we would design our buddy and what they would wear.  Then we discussed within our groups whether it would be a girl or boy and their name.  We are still collaborating together to finish them.

Giving Zoe feedback on her independent learning

"I love when she said her sister likes the juice as well because I didn't know that her little sister loved that" - Ayami

"I like how you said that" - Kyle

"I like how she made that eating video" - Britta

"You could use your voice a little bit louder" - Ashikka

"You could talk about more foods" - Daniel

Maybe some more healthy foods?

Ariel's Amazing Learning in English

When Ariel first came to Stonefields School she was quite new to speaking English.  Like many of our students, Ariel speaks another language at home and is learning English at the same time.  She is such a determined learner!!

Ariel has made amazing progress and recorded this story to share with you all.

Asking Open Questions

In LH1 we sometimes play a game where we guess the type of animal - we can only ask yes or no questions though which can be quite challenging.

When we first started playing, we would often ask if the teacher was a specific animal (a lion, a cat, a snail etc.) but we've quickly become much better at asking 'big' or 'open' questions which give us a lot more information.

Here we are having a go... can you hear the 'big' questions?
