Optional Home Learning Challenge.

This week in maths we have been learning about 2 D and 3 D shapes. We have built our knowledge of different shapes by learning their names and their properties. We are now making meaning by thinking and connecting what we know to sort, group and order the shapes.

When you go home can you ask for a selection of boxes tins etc from the kitchen cupboard and sort and group them, remember to explain how you have done this. Have fun.

  1. Kyan has been sorting the objects in our pantry into shapes, then into 2D vs 3D. He's really been enjoying figuring it all out and has drawn diagrams of which is which (2D vs 3D) to help us.

  2. Well done Kyan, how have you sorted the shapes? Maybe you can tell us tomorrow at oral language time.
