Making play dough for practising our list words.

We made some play dough together so that we could use it to practice our list words during literacy time.  It's just another great way to help us learn our words. They enjoyed taking turns and measuring out the ingredients. We had a hard choice what colours to make but in the end they decided amongst themselves.

Practicing our fine motor skills through art

We cut out a flower shape and stuck it onto some coloured paper, now we are gluing on small bits of paint samples we cut out another session. These are just a few fun ways to strengthen our hand muscles and help us with our pencil grip for writing.

Numeracy

Today for our warm up we ordered numbers to 20.

Then we decorated our cakes on our whiteboards with m&m's and beans. We were leaning how to add two sets of materials together.

Can you remember how many m&m's were on your cake?
